Artist Statement While function is my primary motivation, I enjoy exploring different ideas in several collections--one inspired by colour, another by contemporary design and another by flora and fauna. Inspiration comes from many places, including the natural world, solid block colour Amish quilts, Buddhist temple architecture and East African cooking pots, to name a few.

Artist Statement Pottery has brought me closer to myself, to community, to grounded-ness. I love seeing my pottery evolve as I learn and grow. Grateful for other inspirational potters and clients that continue to give my pieces homes.

Artist Statement I find inspiration in nature, in colour, pattern and texture and I have a great love for handcrafted objects. I believe that nothing brings more coziness than adding these to your home and combining them with materials from the natural world. The tranquility of eating and drinking from handmade, unique and functional works of art brings comfort and I am happiest when I make wares for people to enjoy in their daily rituals and lives.

Artist Statement Nature is my biggest source of inspiration. The shapes, textures, and rhythms I notice outdoors often guide how I build and finish each piece. In my nerikomi patterns, I play with both real and imagined landscapes, blending natural rhythm with abstract design. I’m drawn to how ceramics can carry feeling, how the colours, weight, and surfaces of a piece can remind us of a place, a moment, or a sense of belonging to the natural world.
