Artist Statement My inspiration comes from nature, textures, and the simple beauty of everyday life. I love experimenting with different forms, surfaces, and techniques to create pieces that feel organic and unique. The process of shaping clay with my hands is both grounding and exciting, allowing me to constantly learn and evolve as an artist. Taking courses and workshops at the Haliburton School has deepened my passion, inspiring me to explore new ideas and refine my craft. Pottery is more than just an art form for me—it’s a way to express creativity, connect with others, and bring beauty into everyday day.

Artist Statement My functional ceramic work is inspired by the beauty of nature. I love pottery because it gives us happiness, the opportunity to express ourselves, and it meditates me.

Artist Statement My influences are far and wide but Japanese, Korean and Chinese high fire pottery has always been an inspiration in my own work. I am simply trying to make elegant pieces that will stand on their own in time .

Artist Statement Much of my work is functional tableware but I also like to make whimsical pieces and decorate my pottery with underglazes.

Artist Statement My work is functional, wheel thrown and colourfully decorated pottery. My inspiration comes from everywhere and I am constantly trying out new ideas. I love the entire process, but the biggest joy is seeing someone using one of my creations -- even if it is our dog eating from his custom dish.
